Eid Prayer and Taraweeh to be Held at Home in KSA

It is mentioned by Grand Mufti in Saudi Arabia that the Eid and Taraweeh prayer must pray at home. This is all because of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. In Islam, each prayer and Taraweeh should be praying together (with your Muslim brother) in mosques. It does not matter if your town’s, city or Makkah or Madina but you should all be together while praying prayers and Taraweeh.

The coronavirus pandemic is spreading by the infected once in the crowd, by handshaking and similar stuff. So according to the government of Saudi Arabia to stop the spread and save people’s lives, they must terminate prayer and Taraweeh in Makkah in Madina.

Because these two holy places are full of Muslims around the world. You will these holy places full of crowds praying. However, due to the current situation, it is very sad that we cannot pray there and pray Taraweeh and even Eid prayer. Read COVID-19 Spitter Penalty in Saudi Arabia.

The holy month of Ramadan is about to begin in a week. However, Muslims are very sad including me for such a situation. Each mosque is closed, each institute is closed. Where should the Muslims go and do the prayers? As per the current situation, we can just stay home and pray and do the Taraweeh prayers.

On the other hand, the Saudi Health Ministry announced 762 new cases. The total number is going and still, it is 7143 infection in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. However, the (people are not there anymore) numbers are 80 which is very low as compared to other infected countries.
