The Iqama is now your Health Insurance Card in KSA
The CCHI in Saudi Arabia (Council of Cooperative Health Insurance) has announced today. They announced that the Iqama ID can now be used as a health insurance card also. The Saudi Nation Identity Card also known Iqama and Muqeem card can be used as a Health Card. It has already started on January 1st, 2020. This is all about the ease of the expatriates. There is no need to bring your medical insurance card with you while visiting a clinic or hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The health Card in Saudi Arabia is no more valid. There is no need for it at all. You can simply through it in the dustbin or keep it with yourself for the record purpose. You can now use your Iqama ID as proof of medical Card and health insurance. Thanks to the government of Saudi Arabia for such perfect implementation and CCHI.

Check whether Iqama ID is Linked to Medical Insurance Card or Not
It is easy to check whether your medical insurance is linked without IQama ID or Muqeem Card or not. Please follow these steps in order to do so:
- Go to CCHI official portal.
- In the Insurance Inquiry section Enter your Iqama Identity Number.
- Now enter the image code.
- Click the OK button.
